Netflix has found great success with many shows that have become modern-day pop culture hits. Now a Netflix series from the creators of one of these hits has officially been cancelled after just one season. It serves as a reminder that even shows from established creators aren’t immune to abrupt ends. The 1996 classic Twister is finally getting a sequel. The new stand-alone continuation was shot on an estimated budget of $200 million. As such, with a newly-released trailer, Twisters looks like a massive extension of the original movie and one that should be an exciting addition from Universal Pictures. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is finally tying in with Fox’s X-Men movies following Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox. After several cameos throughout some of the franchise’s most recent installments, Deadpool 3 will focus fully on Ryan Reynolds’ titular character and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. Actor Jake Gyllenhaal is recognized for a number of roles that were featured throughout films including Donnie Darko, Nightcrawler, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and the upcoming Road House remake. The Predator film franchise had a rather rocky time over the years. The release of Prey, however, seems to have saved the brand. Now Prey director Dan Trachtenberg is already attached to direct another Predator movie titled Badlands.
