There’s a lot of popular horror franchises out there, and many that started in the 1980’s are just about anything but dead. But Puppet Master? It’s still alive and well, even though it’s just about faded into obscurity. A new announcement, coming just shortly before filming was supposed to commence on Puppet Master: Axis Termination (the eleventh, or twelfth film in the series depending on whether or not you count Puppet Master vs Demonic Toys), indicates that a bigger budgeted reboot is in the works. And from the team behind Bone Tomahawk, no less. Titled Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich,…

The internet has a way of dealing with things – backlash and complaining without any thought or reason. And, naturally, that’s what happened with X-Men: Apocalypse’s marketing campaign regarding the various reveals of the villain Apocalypse. The first reveal, an image of Oscar Isaac portraying Apocalypse in normal makeup with no additional post production effects, was met with extreme negativity. “Too purple,” people said. “Looks like a Power Rangers villain,” they said. Next up people were displeased with Isaac’s supposedly normal voice in the first teaser – a result of, again, incomplete post production work. Director Bryan Singer had this…
Simon Kinberg released a picture last year with himself next to X-Men: Apocalypse stars James McAvoy and Jean Grey Sophie Turner. Haters gonna hate. @taylorswift13 #jamesmcavoy @SophieT pic.twitter.com/f8nwXPETSH — Simon Kinberg (@Kinberg) July 8, 2015 Also included was Taylor Swift, which struck the Internet in such a way that rumors began to spread about her having a cameo appearance in the upcoming film. Kinberg came out and denied these rumors, however Turner decided to mix things up even further. The actress posted a picture of her with Tye Sheridan’s Cyclops in a record store. And in said picture Cyclops happens…
The first official still for Alien: Covenant, Ridley Scott’s sequel to Prometheus, has been released. Although not much, the picture still has a lot to say. The image depicts a patch with “Weyland-Yutani” beneath a symbol that resembles quite a bit of the Egyptian-style Weyland-Yutani logo from the original Alien. To go along with this Egyptian theme, as well as the title “Covenant”, the patch seems to depict a sort of “Ark of the Covenant”. This fits in with the plot of both Alien and Prometheus, concerning explorers of deep space who interact with things they shouldn’t. The synopsis of…
Today is Alien Day, a special time for both fans of the franchise and those involved with it – and Neill Blomkamp, director of the planned Alien 5, had no better way to celebrate than by releasing unseen concept art you can see below: Alien day A photo posted by Brownsnout (@neillblomkamp) on Apr 25, 2016 at 7:28pm PDT That’s right – the art depicts a grown up Newt, the sole survivor of the colonists on LV-426 and one of three survivors (not including an android) from the end of Aliens. Microsoft announced some pretty heavy news recently on April 20, 2016. The day marks the end of an era – the end of the Xbox 360, to be exact. The company will keep the servers and support going for now, but production on the Xbox 360 is to cease. That’s right – there will never, ever, be another Xbox 360 made. Microsoft made this decision based on the fact that the Xbox 360 is simply too outdated to keep producing, and that they want to focus on the newer Xbox One and creating newer technologies to compete with the rest…

Here’s the new pictures that were released: Gunnar Hansen’s last wishes were for this film to be made, and now filming has just about…
Paramount and Dreamworks have been working on a live-action adaptation of the manga Ghost in the Shell, and naturally the first complaints were that the film wasn’t utilizing an Asian cast, and rather used actors and actresses like Scarlett Johansson. Well, Screen Crush suggests that to counter these complaints, the studios were working with tests to digitally alter the cast: “According to multiple independent sources close to the project, Paramount and DreamWorks commissioned visual effects tests that would’ve altered Scarlett Johansson in post-production to ‘shift her ethnicity’ and make the Caucasian actress appear more Asian in the film.” The special…
In a world of sequels, prequels, reboots, remakes, re-adaptations, and recalibrations, it was only a matter of time before Jumanji, an award-winning children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg as well as its original 1995 film adaptation, would make its way back to the silver screen. https://www.instagram.com/p/BEgf8kxoh5y/ The new movie will be directed by Jake Kasdan, and the current actors in talks, according to EW, are Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart who’ve previously worked together in Central Intelligence. They also co-hosted the MTV Movie Awards earlier this month. Fans will be curious as to how the movie will honor Robin Williams’…
