The Evil Dead franchise is one that’s branched out quite a bit in recent years. Originally a trilogy, the series spawned a remake in 2013 followed by a sequel in the form of a television series in 2015. Spider-Man: Homecoming will be Marvel’s first solo Spider-Man film since they began their partnership with Sony. As such, many fans have been anxious to know Marvel’s vision for the movie and how it’ll stand out from Sony’s previous attempts. Ever since his involvement was rumored and then announced, fans have theorized what role Kurt Russell could be playing in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Many fans even suggested he could be Star-Lord’s father, but Marvel has just announced at Comic-Con that Kurt Russell will be portraying Ego the Living Planet. Marvel’s at it again, and this time they’ve revealed the new official logo for Thor: Ragnarok through Comic-Con. The logo is printed in letters that seem to have a more lighthearted, almost-1980s appearance. This deeply contrasts with the logos for the other two films which were much more gritty and serious. One thing that’s surprising about Marvel’s onslaught of Netflix shows is that there’s been very little in the way of toys. That’s about to change as it’s been confirmed Hasbro will be making figurines based on many of the shows for its “Legends” line which has already adapted many of Marvel’s films. So far there’s been figurines of the Punisher, Daredevil and Jessica Jones spotted at Comic-Con, along with a note stating “Pending Licensor Approval”. What do you think of the figures? Marvel fans got their first look at the new Iron Fist show last night at Comic-Con during the Luke Cage panel. Joe Quesada, Marvel’s CCO, spoke about the show with IGN during a livestream.
