Disney has been gradually adapting a large number of animated classics from their library to live-action. For one animated Disney classic, however, it looks like its live-action remake is most likely cancelled. This is a potential result of the film losing its director. The Twilight franchise dominated the beginning years of the 2000’s. The first novel of the same name, written by Stephenie Meyer, was published in 2005. Sony has certainly had trouble with the release of Madame Web. The Spider-Man spin-off film flopped at the box office and received intensely negative reviews from both fans and critics. Beau DeMayo has been involved with a number of Marvel projects for Disney Plus, including the animated series revival X-Men ’97. In fact, DeMayo is credited as the creator of the series, though he’s now been fired before the premiere of the series has even taken place.
