Paramount and Dreamworks have been working on a live-action adaptation of the manga Ghost in the Shell, and naturally the first complaints were that the film wasn’t utilizing an Asian cast, and rather used actors and actresses like Scarlett Johansson. Well, Screen Crush suggests that to counter these complaints, the studios were working with tests to digitally alter the cast: “According to multiple independent sources close to the project, Paramount and DreamWorks commissioned visual effects tests that would’ve altered Scarlett Johansson in post-production to ‘shift her ethnicity’ and make the Caucasian actress appear more Asian in the film.” The special…

Sony released the new logo for the “Animated Spider-Man” film which used the new title in a curved design over a shot of New York City with a “December 2018” release date, along with the credits “From Phil Lord & Chris Miller”. Lord and Miller will write and produce the film which is said to co-exist with Tom Holland’s live-action Spider-Man portrayals. Many fans of Carol Danvers, the character who took the Captain Marvel mantle in 2012, have been waiting for news on the upcoming film. Marvel announced Inhumans as early as 2014 after a string of rumors, and although it was first announced for a 2018 release, the film was pushed back to 2019 and now it seems to have been pushed back even further. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has had a tough release since it first screened in theaters. Critics strongly disliked it, yet many fans seemed to enjoy it.
