DC Films has finally announced the premise for the upcoming Green Lantern Corps film! After a long period of speculations and fan theories, we now know the film is essentially “Lethal Weapon in space” with Hal Jordan and Jon Stewart as the leads. Deadline was responsible for dropping the exclusive, and it makes perfect sense, given that Hal Jordan is the most iconic Lantern in the comics and Jon Stewart has had the most onscreen appearances. David S. Goyer and Justin Rhodes will be writing the script and Goyer will produce – in addition to Geoff Johns and Jon Berg.…

Welcome to Fright Night, for real… It looks like “the Fright Night copyrights come back to papa” as the original film’s writer/director Tom Holland said during a Twitter frenzy. It’s been 33 years since Holland had to sell the rights to the original film in 1984 to get it made, and thanks to the way U.S. Copyright laws work, the rights will revert back to Holland in 2019. And now it looks like he has big plans for the franchise. He revealed that he’s “almost finished with Fright Night 3 the novel”, and iterated that “many things grow from there”.…
Wonder Woman will be the fourth DC Extended Universe film, following last year’s releases Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad. The film’s leads consist of Gal Gadot, who plays the titular Wonder Woman, and Chris Pines as Steve Trevor. And after months of rumors, Pines may have just revealed who will be the big villain in the film. In an interview with Studio Ciné Live, he potentially gave out quite a few important plot points. “I play a pilot who works for the Allies and spies on the Germans without their knowledge. My character steals a notebook…

Actor Tom Hiddleston happened to win his first Golden Globe Award on Sunday evening and attempted using his acceptance speech to bring awareness regarding the civil war happening in South Sudan. Despite his noble actions, however, he only succeeded in being criticized on social media. This happened after he explained in his speech how he met with several different doctors and nurses in the world’s youngest nation who would binge-watch The Night Manager when in need of levity. Huddle explained that, “the idea that we could provide some relief and entertainment for people… who are fixing the world in the…

Batman News managed to get a new high resolution still of an image featured in USA Today’s “must-see films of 2017” article. The image shows off the Justice League team standing together. You can see the image below. USA Today also had some new quotes from director Zack Snyder on the film. With Superman (Henry Cavill) having laid down his life for Earth, Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder…
It looks like DC superhero Aquaman could be getting his own video game title soon. A new image has appeared online showing Jason Momoa’s version of the character in front of a shark and the city of Atlantis. The picture also uses the logo for the upcoming Aquaman movie, so it’s likely the game will tie into that film’s release date, closer to 2018. The art was revealed by Eipix Entertainment during December’s EipixCon, an annual event for their employees. The company is best known for making “point and click” games for computers and smartphones. Their best known franchise is…
With 2016 at an end and 2017 just beginning, it’s almost time to start looking back at last year’s greatest cinematic hits. Of course, this means we must also look back at its misses. And this includes the films that belong in the Razzie Awards. Voters have been sent in the final shortlist for the Razzies. This means people must pick five nominees from each respective category in order to submit the final five films that will be voted against during the ceremony. And one of the major choices just so happens to be Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.…
Director James Gunn has taken the Internet by storm this last week. By admitting on Twitter that he has an idea for a Moon Knight movie, it’s not only hyped up Marvel fans, but those within the fold as well. One such case was with Daredevil actor Vincent D’Onofrio who tweeted: https://twitter.com/vincentdonofrio/status/817453382600376321?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw What does this mean? An endless string of possibilities, of course. This means we could get the darkest Marvel film yet, and really push the limits of the modern PG-13 rating with Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk’s appearance. It could also mean, however, we could get a new addition to…
