The 1980’s and early 1990’s were an important time for the horror genre. The special effects were at their best, many actors became increasingly more iconic with each appearance, and the films as a whole were brilliant examples of gore and mayhem with just a dash of humor. But somewhere down the line, greedy executives took this as a sign they should start turning these movies into children’s television shows. After what seems to be years of false starts and stops, another writer is once again trying to resurrect the character of Beetlejuice – and this time it’s Mike Vukadinovich. Beetlejuice 2 may happen after all! According to Deadline, there is no involvement from Burton or Keaton yet. Nearly a decade ago in 2008 a little horror film entitled The Strangers was released. With a cast including Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman, the movie slowly gained a cult following. While Bill Skarsgård has reached the status of horror icon from his role in Andy Muschietti’s IT adaptation, the star will be appearing in another Stephen King project entitled Castle Rock that will premiere on Hulu. According to TMZ, Harvey Weinstein’s daughter dialed the police Wednesday morning to report that her father had become suicidal. Weinstein had been staying at his 22-year-old daughter’s home where the two were holding an intense argument. It eventually culminated with Harvey telling his daughter that she was “making it worse”. Things have done nothing but escalate since the initial Harvey Weinstein investigation. It all began when The New York Times published the accusation that Weinstein had sexually harassed at least eight women. But it got worse when more women started to voice allegations and eventually Weinstein was fired from his own company by the board of directors.
