IT director Andy Muschietti has already expressed interest in the past about wanting to direct an adaptation of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary, but it looks like Paramount had a different idea. It’s been reported by Deadline that writer/director duo Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch have been tapped to revive King’s story. The novel was previously adapted in 1989, in which the film later spawned a sequel in 1991 starring Terminator 2’s Edward Furlong.
