The upcoming 2018 Venom movie is one of the most highly anticipated comic book movies of the year, as well as one of the most secretive. Many fans of the character have been concerned with how Venom will be portrayed, and even a 3D sculpture was released by artist Mikkel Frandsen that fans have taken as a potential look for the character in the new movie – though it was later said by Sony that this wasn’t the case. However, DeviantArt user Bryanzap has taken it upon himself to give the 3D sculpture even more life, crafting it a texture…

There’s plenty of issues with the newest Alien films to have come out over the last few years. They just don’t seem to be capable of capturing the spirit of Alien, which seemed so incredibly new and disturbing in 1979. It’s fair to say this was because of HR Giger, whose work seems to have been forgotten with the likes of Prometheus and Alien: Covenant. His original Xenomorph design is easily one of the best monster concepts in horror and sci-fi. There’s something so robotic and organic about it, it’s hard not to feel uncomfortable looking at it. But before…

Miles Traer, a Stanford University geologist, has created a presentation with two of his colleagues regarding the carbon footprint for nine superheroes. As expected, the presentation shows some disappointing results, and delivers a tongue-in-cheek way of getting people to question their own carbon footprints. This presentation, for example, claims that Iron Man and Batman are actually generating large amounts of CO2 with their technical equipment, literally dooming the environment in their attempts to stop crime. Traer managed to calculate the Batmobile’s CO2 output by comparing it with real world military vehicles, and theorizes it pumps out 48,000 pounds of CO2…

Alien fans have been in a frenzy ever since it was announced that Fox likely gave up on Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant sequel. Now that there seems to be interest in where the franchise could go next, director Neill Blomkamp has shared some more artwork from his unmade Alien 5 concept. https://www.instagram.com/p/BdMHjvEhkDU/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BdMHnmBBF2g/ The film was thought up by Blomkamp as a replacement for Alien 3 and Alien: Resurrection. It would’ve taken place after Aliens and followed a more traditional sequel route with Ripley, Hicks, and even Newt returning to fight the Xenomorph menace. But Ridley Scott saw to it…

Although Ridley Scott has been assuring what fans are left that an Alien: Covenant sequel was on the way, it seems that’s no longer the case. According to a user on the Blu-ray.com forums (via AvP Galaxy), Covenant didn’t do what Fox was hoping for. Because of this production on the sequel which was being fast-tracked seems to have stopped. The Disney buyout hasn’t helped matters either, according to the source. “The sequel to Covenant was originally due to start preproduction this month in Sydney. After the box office results filming was canceled, and a warehouse storage unit full of…
