Fans of Halloween haven’t been the only ones waiting since the trailer was announced for tomorrow – it looks like Michael Myers and Laurie Strode have been waiting too, although for way different reasons. After forty years of silence – the Shape is about to return for another killing spree in this year’s Halloween movie. While we still haven’t gotten the trailer (that comes tomorrow), two new videos have hit the internet boasting the first bits of footage from the film. The first video is 10-seconds with all sorts of crazy stuff going on. Laurie is shooting her gun, Michael is…

Mater Suspiriorum and her coven of witches are back in the first trailer for the upcoming remake of Dario Argento’s Suspiria. It’s a very mysterious and enthralling trailer, so stay alert. CinemaCon already received a different preview in April, which showed a very disturbing and gory outcome for one beloved dancer. Now Luca Guadagnino’s movie has its first official teaser trailer, and instead of gore it focuses on suspense and mystery. Most fans of the original film will notice the difference in both the music and visual aesthetic. Argento’s Suspiria was a very colorful and surreal motion picture, washing every…

Srdjan Spasojevic’s A Serbian Film has become particularly well-known over the years for its explicit content and vile subject matter. It’s become a controversial topic for critics and audiences. Horror fans can’t decide if the movie has earned its use of shock value by being a disturbing political satire – or if it simply is just too much. Apparently eBay believes the latter. Earlier last week a multitude of props from the film were put up for sale on eBay. This includes a prop designed to look like a baby for one rather horrific scene of the film. Now it…

The Walking Dead is known for its surprise twists and character deaths, with many fans assuming Rick Grimes to be the exception. Alas, after nearly nine seasons, it seems this may no longer be the case. According to Collider, Rick Grimes actor Andrew Lincoln has plans to leave the series sometime during its ninth season. AMC has yet to comment on the rumor, but it certainly seems plausible. The show has gotten even more brutal with killing off its characters in recent years, with Rick’s own son Carl played by Chandler Riggs being killed off most recently. There’s also plans…

The Muppets is one of the most beloved family-friendly franchises in popular culture. It was developed by Jim Henson, whose son Brian Henson has helped direct and puppeteer various Muppet outings. Now, Brian Henson will be involved with directing a rather non-family friendly puppet movie. In fact, the new red-band trailer for The Happytime Murders is most definitely NSFW. It goes all out with murder, sleazy prostitutes, and extreme drug use – most of which centers around an endless array of puppets. But let’s not forget star Melissa McCarthy who even gets to snort ecstasy through a piece of licorice…

The upcoming Halloween movie coming from Blumhouse not only finished production recently, but even had its first test screenings. While most of the film appears to have done well with its test audiences, there was some concern regarding the ending. Now it appears the film will be undergoing reshoots to repair the damage. According to Bloody-Disgusting: Bloody Disgusting has learned that Green is getting back behind the camera to shoot additional scenes for his Halloween, which slashes into theaters this coming October. Sources tell me that the agenda is to tweak the finale following a recent test screening (without getting into…

The last we heard on the new Masters of the Universe film, David S. Goyer stepped back from directing. His treatment will still be used for the script and he’ll continue to executive produce the movie. Instead Aaron and Adam Nee will direct the film. Of course beyond those technical details and some concept art, we have little idea about what the story will be. However, That Hashtag Show appears to have new info on the movie’s plot and an interesting new twist for Skeletor and He-Man. The two characters will, in fact, be brothers. As they explained, “Our source…

A new Swamp Thing series based stories from on Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson has just been ordered for the upcoming DC streaming service named DC Universe. Interestingly, the series will be produced by The Conjuring and Aquaman director James Wan’s Atomic Monster company. It’s also worth noting that the series was written by Ash vs. Evil Dead writer Mark Verheiden and IT co-writer Gary Dauberman. What a great combination! It’ll be interesting to see how this series will be handled with all of these horror veterans involved in the project. It’s not the first time several genre icons have…

The Castle Rock series coming to Hulu is one of the most anticipated Stephen King projects coming out. What separates it from other adaptations of King’s works is that this actually takes place within King’s story universe. As it was described, it will “combine the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland.” The new trailer itself is actually very enticing. The footage really builds the titular Castle Rock up as an eerie, horrifying place. I can’t help but think…

The Conjuring franchise is one that’s relatively new and continues to grow with each passing year. While there’s only four films to the series so far, there are plenty more in production – with The Nun set to premiere this year. While there’s yet to be any official trailers released, a small bit of footage was shown at CinemaCon – with terrifying results. Producer James Wan alongside Director Corin Hardy presented the footage and explained a bit about the film’s production backstory. While the movie is still a large part of the overall Conjuring experience, the influences are a bit…
