Disney has been revisiting many of its properties, either producing sequels or even remakes of its many animated films. In fact, 2019 will include remakes of Aladdin, Dumbo, and even The Lion King. And the trend isn’t stopping there. It’s reportedly being stated that Disney may be looking to remake The Nightmare Before Christmas in live-action form, or at the very least devise a sequel. The report comes from MovieHole, who writes: There’s talk at Disney to “do something with “Nightmare Before Christmas” – probably a sequel but live-action possible” we’ve been informed (the tip comes from someone who has given Moviehole…

American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis is no stranger to speaking his mind. Now he’s being vocal about Black Panther – one of the latest Marvel movies and one that’s already being nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars. Universal has been working on a new adaptation of the incredibly popular Doom video game franchise. The property was previously adapted in 2005, but did negatively with fans. While a decent cast led the movie, it was bogged down by a weak script and an attempt to distance itself from the games’ references to Hell and demons. Now Universal’s upcoming adaptation seems to be rectifying those issues, and to keep up with the high expectations they’ve delayed the film to put more focus on its special effects. More specifically, according to Dread Central, the CGI involved with its Hell sequence.…

Escape Room has been a nice little success for Sony, and now it seems they want to duplicate that success with their Grudge reboot. They shifted it out of its mid-2019 release date and are now prepping to release the flick in January 2020, in a time slot similar to Escape Room. While I appreciate their attempt to strategize, I wouldn’t take it as a move of confidence. January has almost always been a dump month for lackluster horror movies. The Bye Bye Man, Texas Chainsaw 3D, you name it. The only thing they’re doing is making it sound almost…
