The Godzilla franchise has seen something of a resurgence in recent years. While the 2014 reboot from Legendary Pictures wasn’t completely well-received, it did strongly enough for the company to move forward with their newly-established MonsterVerse. In 2017 they followed up Godzilla in their prequel titled Kong: Skull Island. The King Kong reboot was significantly more successful with Kaiju fans – putting faith in us all for Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Now Warner Bros. has premiered the trailer at Comic-Con; and it’s everything that a Godzilla fan could hope to see. Trick ‘r Treat director Michael Dougherty is at…

After years of silence, the Rugrats franchise is returning in a big way. The announcement has been made that Viacom’s Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures will not only be relaunching the animated series with a whopping new 26 episodes, but they intend to produce a new theatrical film as well. While we’ve already had three different movies under the Rugrats banner, this one will be different for one very big reason – it’s going to be produced in live-action with CGI characters! The news comes from Deadline, who have also revealed original franchise creators Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó and Paul Germain…

The first half of Andy Muschietti’s adaptation for Stephen King’s IT premiered last year – and was easily one of the most successful horror movies of its time. It was clear, then, that production on IT: Chapter 2 would move ahead. But the story for the sequel is a tricky one because it replaces all of the children with their adult counterparts; forcing the filmmakers to entirely recast the first film. It was generally agreed by fans that the child actors from the first movie succeeded as their characters. Unfortunately, like with the second half of the original miniseries adaptation,…

Child’s Play is a franchise that continues to grow with plans for a new TV series and as we recently learned, MGM’s upcoming reboot (remake?) of the original series. It’s a little unclear how MGM plans to execute their remake, and why Don Mancini and fellow Child’s Play affiliates have no involvement. Bloody-Disgusting received confirmation that Mancini still intends to produce the TV series and potential new films that will continue the story of the original film. In fact, we also know now that Brad Dourif will not be involved in MGM’s remake either. He’s still going to be the…

The Child’s Play franchise is busier than ever right now. When the franchise took a break in 2004 with the failure of (the underrated) Seed of Chucky, fans thought the property was completely dead. As each iconic slasher villain was remade, audiences were sure that Chucky would be the next one announced for the remake treatment. It simply never happened. In 2013 we got Curse of Chucky, which brought Brad Dourif back as Chucky and helped get the series back to basics. The film was recently followed up with 2017’s Cult of Chucky, and the trajectory was laid out for…

It’s been a few months since Don Mancini first revealed plans for a Child’s Play television series. The ending for the last movie pretty much led into a whole new era of stories to tell, and a series is the perfect way to do that. Now Mancini is teasing the series some more with a new GIF teaser he’s posted on his Twitter page. pic.twitter.com/5Xqve1w88H — Don Mancini (@RealDonMancini) June 22, 2018 Mancini has already told us that the show’s “tone is dark and disturbing”, which is a good sign for this franchise which although I still love, could use…

Ewan McGregor is looking to have quite the career even a decade after his success in the Star Wars prequels. Aside from getting to play the titular Christopher Robin in said film, McGregor was announced by Variety to be playing Danny Torrance in Doctor Sleep – the upcoming sequel to The Shining. That’s right, McGregor is now going to star in a sequel to one of the greatest horror stories of all time. Everyone from the project is going to have some rather large shoes to fill. While the IT adaptation from 2017 was considered much superior to its iconic…

Mater Suspiriorum and her coven of witches are back in the first trailer for the upcoming remake of Dario Argento’s Suspiria. It’s a very mysterious and enthralling trailer, so stay alert. CinemaCon already received a different preview in April, which showed a very disturbing and gory outcome for one beloved dancer. Now Luca Guadagnino’s movie has its first official teaser trailer, and instead of gore it focuses on suspense and mystery. Most fans of the original film will notice the difference in both the music and visual aesthetic. Argento’s Suspiria was a very colorful and surreal motion picture, washing every…

Srdjan Spasojevic’s A Serbian Film has become particularly well-known over the years for its explicit content and vile subject matter. It’s become a controversial topic for critics and audiences. Horror fans can’t decide if the movie has earned its use of shock value by being a disturbing political satire – or if it simply is just too much. Apparently eBay believes the latter. Earlier last week a multitude of props from the film were put up for sale on eBay. This includes a prop designed to look like a baby for one rather horrific scene of the film. Now it…
