The Child’s Play franchise is getting a complete overhaul with a remake of the original film. There was already enough issues preventing another Friday the 13th movie from being made in a timely manner. Now the franchise is locked in legal turmoil, where writer Victor Miller and current franchise owner Sean Cunningham continue to battle one another through the U.S. court system. Although their work didn’t exactly fade away from the public eye, James Wan’s film The Conjuring launched their legacy into pop culture stardom. One of horror’s most iconic villains happens to be Pinhead, originally played by actor Doug Bradley in Clive Barker’s 1987 film Hellraiser. He continued portraying the character up until 2005, when the direct-to-video film Hellraiser: Hellworld dropped franchise standards to a new low. A new live-action adaptation of the iconic He-Man and the Masters of the Universe franchise has gone off and on ever since the first adaptation was produced by Cannon Films in 1987.
