The John Wick franchise continues to be a major success for the action genre especially for an original movie series. The third film currently has one of the biggest box office openings – proving that the fan base is excited and eager to see more of the character made famous by Keanu Reeves. It’s almost a similar business model to slasher films of the 1980’s, where Reeves’ character John Wick has since been compared to by fans. John Wick is not only called the Boogeyman by characters in the movie series, but he’s also well-known for his creative means of…

Orion’s upcoming remake of the horror classic Child’s Play continues to both pay its respects to the original movies while also introducing new themes and concepts. The movie strays away from the possessed doll narrative of the original Child’s Play saga, and instead recreates Chucky as a robotic AI gone mad. While the film has had a variety of promotional trailers and images released, we’ve only just barely been getting to see better looks at the actual Chucky doll in the film. The doll, which is from the Buddi toy line rather than the Good Guys as in the original…

The Perfection is a movie that looks to take inspiration from the recent success of Jordan Peele’s Get Out and Us. The movie will not only take similar cues for its themes and story, but also actress Allison Williams who is best known for her work in Get Out. Now thanks to Bloody-Disgusting, we have a brand new clip from the film. Although it’s recommended for viewers to go in blind and unsuspecting, it’s definitely a sickening tease that suggests a number of nightmarish things to come in the finished film. https://youtu.be/sg21gCE8CIs In case you missed the trailer when it…

It’s not the first time a theater decided to play the wrong footage in front of an audience of small, unsuspecting children. But this poor group had no idea what they were in for during their supposed screening of Warner Bros.’ all-new movie Detective Pikachu. Apparently the incident occurred in a movie theater from Montreal, Canada. While showing both La Llorona, the latest film set in the Conjuring Universe, and Detective Pikachu in separate showings simultaneously, the projectionists somehow mixed up the footage. They ended up showing trailers for Annabelle Comes Home and Orion’s Child’s Play remake to all of…

Pet Sematary was a successful enough film both financially and even critically for studio Paramount Pictures. And although the film wasn’t a massive hit like Andy Muschietti’s adaptation of IT, there’s always a possibility of a sequel these days. The next half of Andy Muschietti’s adaptation of Stephen King’s IT, appropriately titled IT: Chapter 2, is shaping up to be a much more aggressive sequel. It makes sense, given that Pennywise was defeated by a group of kids, and after 27 years in hibernation he has every right to be much more angry and horrific. It appears the film itself will take on a more horrific tone as well. According to IT: Chapter 2’s writer, Gary Dauberman, the film will actually be a lot bloodier too. Here’s what he said to The Hollywood Reporter: “[It’s] definitely bloodier than the…

The horror genre has had some interesting new iconography over the years – two of the biggest contributors being Andy Muschietti’s IT adaptation and the Syfy Channel’s seemingly endless series of Sharknado sequels. Now as if by the wish of a deranged mad scientist, there appears to be a cross between the two coming soon. Yes, that’s right – we will be getting a Clownado film sometime this year. Wild Eye Releasing is distributing the film and presented Bloody-Disgusting with an all-new trailer and one-sheet. The film comes from director Todd Sheets, who had this to say about the movie:…

The latest installment in the Child’s Play franchise has some enormous shoes to fill. Although the remake of the iconic horror film follows many of the basic trends the original movie is known for, plenty of fans were concerned with how it would handle the killer doll Chucky. More specifically, they were concerned with how Chucky would sound given that Brad Dourif was being replaced. We now know Mark Hamill is the new voice of Chucky – and it’s a pretty smart move on the filmmakers’ part for casting such an iconic actor in the role. Although we haven’t gotten…
