While Disney has become known as the home of Marvel, there were at one point various studios developing movies based on Marvel properties. One such studio was Fox, which before Disney acquired the company, had the film rights to the entire X-Men comic book franchise. As a result, Fox produced various X-Men movies and spin-offs about certain superhero characters – including Wolverine. In particular, James Mangold directed the 2013 film The Wolverine which has since gone on to become one of the most beloved Marvel movie adaptations. Unfortunately, it looks like Disney Plus has removed the movie from their US…

Although Godzilla vs. Kong has gone on to become a massive success on just about every front, there was at one point some uncertainty about the film. In particular, after the box office results of Godzilla: King of the Monsters, it seemed unlikely that the MonsterVerse would continue past Godzilla vs Kong. And while Godzilla vs. Kong has exceeded expectations, providing a rejuvenating run at the box office, there still isn’t any word yet on whether or not there will be a sequel. In any case, Adam Wingard has previously discussed the possibility. In fact, he’s even provided the tidbit…
The CW is certainly becoming known for their wide variety of live-action adaptations. While most of these are comic book adaptations, such as Arrow or Riverdale, it seems they’re tackling a popular Cartoon Network series next. In particular, The CW is working on a live-action adaptation of The Powerpuff Girls. While the cast for the series was previously announced, the first behind the scenes look has been released. And it’s definitely what you’d expect to see. The behind the scenes look, which comes in the form of a video, shows the titular Powerpuff Girls in their signature costumes. That’s right…
Be warned, there are spoilers for the Disney Plus series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier ahead. Now then. While the identity of the villain Power Broker has yet to be revealed, one eagle-eyed The Falcon and The Winter Soldier fan might’ve already solved the mystery. Interestingly, it has to do with Apple’s iPhone rule that filmmaker Rian Johnson previously revealed. Apparently this eagle-eyed fan noticed that one particular character in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier didn’t have an iPhone like the rest of the characters. As pointed out last year while speaking with Vanity Fair, this is what…
The Saw horror film franchise became infamous in the early 2000’s for spawning a series of sequels. In the tradition of Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street, a new Saw film was released every year from 2004 until 2010. The franchise suffered a brief hiatus after that point, until the movie Jigsaw was released in 2017. And in an attempt to correct the course of the series, Spiral: From the Book of Saw was put into production after Jigsaw didn’t do as well as planned. While we’re still waiting for Spiral to be released next month, it…
Fans have so far been eager to learn the truth about the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home and whether or not Spidey franchise actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are involved. While many coincidences and rumors point in the direction that they are indeed appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home, this latest rumor is a bit more extreme. Instead of simply going for a cameo, it suggests that Sony actually wants both director Sam Raimi and actor Tobey Maguire to come back for a proper Spider-Man 4. Obviously this information should be taken with a grain of salt, but it…
Netflix is currently hard at work with producing a variety of projects based on the works of Mark Millar. One such project, titled Jupiter’s Legacy, is on the way – and Netflix has released the first official trailer as a result. The new superhero series is based on the 2013 comic written by Mark Miller with art by Frank Quitely. The comic itself was already quite the epic story, with the new Netflix series set to tackle the same heightened scope. In fact, Millar has already described the upcoming series as “part-2001, part-Avengers, part-Godfather II.” With comparisons like those, it’s…
Many Ghostbusters fans were looking forward to Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which has unfortunately been delayed several times over the past year. Luckily, however, the long-awaited franchise revival is now scheduled for the end of 2021 – and Sony is already relaunching the marketing campaign. As you can see below, they revealed a new clip from the film which introduces Stay Puft “Mini-Pufts.” Fans should remember the iconic Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from the original Ghostbusters film. Well, now he’s a lot smaller – and there’s way more than one. In what can only be described as the Ghostbusters equivalent to Gremlins,…
Freddy vs. Jason is a horror film crossover between the Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street franchises. While the film was finally released in 2003, it still had issues during production. For example, the movie had a variety of alternate endings pitched – one of which was filmed and was actually the film’s original ending. This particular ending for Freddy vs. Jason would have actually seen Freddy Krueger become the winner of the film in more ways than one. As those who’ve seen Freddy vs. Jason know, the film ultimately ends rather ominously. At first glance, it…
It was previously revealed that former MMA fighter/actress Gina Carano was fired from the production of The Mandalorian after making a series of controversial tweets on Twitter. She was further cast out from Disney after an episode of Running Wild with Bear Gryllis she participated in was removed from their release schedule. In fact, her losses go even further as she was even dropped by her talent agency, UTA. But according to the newest development, it appears that things aren’t stopping there. Apparently Twitter has now censored her account with a “Sensitive Media” warning. If you’re unaware, “Sensitive Media” warnings…
