Before Fortnite took the adolescent gaming scene by storm, there was Minecraft, a charmingly simplistic game that gives its players free rein to create and explore their own worlds. With the game reaching massive heights, Warner Brothers have been trying to get a film adaptation going since 2014, with multiple directors coming and going ever since. The Conjuring Universe has done the improbable of establishing a horror cinematic universe on the big screen. That being said, the series recent entries have hit a snag when it comes to the critics. Last year’s The Nun was unanimously panned (26% on Rotten Tomatoes), with their upcoming film The Curse of La Lorna not faring much better so far (38% on Rotten Tomatoes).
