Just someone with a love for all things media, having grown up with classic British TV and bonkers American film. Currently studying English and Creative Writing at university, with a need to articulate exactly what I think about everything. I ramble at a much more concise level on Twitter.

Even before Spider-Man: Homecoming has hit theaters, we are already getting rumors about its sequel. Currently slated for a July 5th 2019 release date, all we know for sure is that it will be the first MCU film to be released after the still untitled Avengers 4. And it will kick-start phase 4 of the MCU. Story wise, not much is known, aside from Kevin Feige stating that the end of Avengers 4 will have a big effect on the film, as well as Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark not likely to make an appearance in it. Instead, it’s been…

Barely a week after Chris Hemsworth’s claim that it is illegal for MCU actors to appear in a DCEU film, the Kingpin himself, Vincent D’Onofrio, has now said if given the opportunity, that he would gladly appear in a DCEU film. When praising the recent cultural success of Wonder Woman, a fan asked D’Onofrio if he would appear in the DCEU if offered to him. To which his response was a simple and succinct… https://twitter.com/vincentdonofrio/status/878808798961348608 Interestingly, if could be argued that as D’Onofrio is an MCU star for Netflix, as opposed to the big budget films, his contract for appearing…

Latest news of the DCEU kind, and it’s from what President and Chief Content Officer Toby Emmerich had to say about the upcoming slate of films. In a recent interview with Variety, Emmerich had this to say. “I would be surprised if we didn’t at some point make an R-rated DC movie.” There are two ways to react to this statement, one is to have a total overreaction and scream to the hills saying that all DCEU movies are going to be R-rated and that this will be the best thing ever/kill the franchise dead. And the other way is…

James Gunn is arguably one of, if not the most active creative member of the MCU on social media. Regularly interacting with fans, as well as being unapologetically upfront and honest when it comes to how he feels and what he’s working on. However, like most of us, he’s not above a little bit of immature humour, and messing around with people. As was the case when he trolled ‘some kid’ pretending to be Kevin Feige on Instagram, whilst also dropping some fake news about the upcoming MCU slate. As Gunn said himself: “The other night some kid pretending to…

Fan theories and speculation tend to have such a wide scope as to what aspects of a film they cover, that they are mostly just forgotten about in time. However, there are many circumstances where a fan’s theory for a film can get affirmed by the filmmaker behind a project. And recently this has occurred with Zack Snyder with a small detail mostly overlooked in Batman V. Superman. Check out the detail noticed by The Kingslayer and confirmed by Zack Snyder here: It’s nice to see that so much care and thought was put into making as many of the…

There is no denying it, James Gunn is just as much a fan as he is a filmmaker. Meaning that, unsurprisingly, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is full of Easter eggs and references to both the comics and the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe. And who better to point out all of them than a YouTuber who has a very solid track record of pointing out the tiny details that most of us miss in these films, this being Mr Sunday Movies, who has made it somewhat of a habit to make an Easter egg video for every major comic…

LEGO is one of the greatest things to exist ever… but moving swiftly onto the actual focus on the article. A bunch of new images for an upcoming Justice League LEGO set have been released, appearing to give us a better idea of what Steppenwolf will look like in the film. Up until this point, all that has been seen of Steppenwolf was the one deleted scene that depicted Lex Luthor communicating with him, via the technology of the Kryptonian ship. Admittedly this was a distorted version of him as he was shown through the what I presume to be…

Fan theories are always fun aren’t they? So let’s check out this neat little one from CBM’s BaronZemo (yes, that is their username). This theory simply puts the question to you: Is Loki the true hero of the MCU? I know, right? Suggesting that, what many people consider to be, the best, and in some cases, only good villain of the MCU, is the true hero all along. It sounds like complete madness. Well, for those interested, feel free to check out the full theory here. Personally, after reading this, I don’t think this really works as a theory for…

Although the official title for ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp’ may have already given it away, but it’s well worth confirming that Evangeline Lilly’s Hope Van Dyne will be getting a substantial role in next year’s sequel. This is lovely bit of news as one of the biggest criticisms of the original is that Hope was depicted right from the start, as far more qualified to pull off the heist that Scott, and as likeable as Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang is. It’s one detail that the film fails to logically explain itself around. Thankfully the sequel will see the two team-up…

Ever since the reveal that Avengers 3 and 4 were no longer Infinity War Parts 1 and 2, it’s been a mystery as to what the fourth Avengers film would be called. Up until now, it’s generally been thought that the reason for the lack of a name for the fourth instalment was simply because the creators haven’t thought of one yet. However, in a recent exchange between Kevin Feige and CinemaBlend’s Eric Eisenberg, Feige suggested that not only has the name for Avengers 4 already been decided, but that the reason why it has not been revealed yet is…
