Following the success of their first “blockbuster” film last month (David Ayer’s sci-fi cop thriller Bright), Netflix continues with their plans to pump out movies that are bigger and more ambitious than we’re used to seeing debut on streaming services. Following the underwhelming box office performance of Alien: Covenant, ($240 million on a $97 million budget) the future of the Alien franchise has been in doubt.
