For a few months now, random tidbits of news have teased a new direction coming up for Hawkeye. The master archer is said to undergo major changes in Avengers 4, possibly leading him to abandon his identity entirely. The X-Men: Dark Phoenix Saga is one of the most famous and beloved comic book arcs of all time. It’s been dabbled with a few times off the page: the animated series in the early 90s did a pretty good job with it (considering it was a kids’ show, they could only go so dark); X-Men: The Last Stand killed it with a flaming barbwire-wrapped 2×4; and the middling Apocalypse film hinted at it near the end. The DCEU’s Suicide Squad was a very divisive movie. Most either loved it or hated it, with few filmgoers sitting on the fence. For those who saw it in a negative light, one of its biggest flaws was the characterization of The Joker. Actor Jared Leto portrayed the legendary (if overrated and overused) DC Comics villain. He’s known for picking bizarre projects, and adopting strange behaviors while shooting as an acting method. However, the majority of what went wrong with Joker wasn’t really Leto’s fault.
