10 years and 19 films in, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has made a very compact universe with many creative outlets in director styles and tones. The multitude of heroes that have been introduced are now finally coming into a perfectly synced storyline for one big brawl with Thanos. Well, maybe not perfect. Even the most planned out and studio-pressed choices can never align the full 100% with creative differences from the independent movies and the identities they wish to keep. Even the pen-holders of the upcoming blockbuster film admit that there are inconsistencies in the MCU that they can’t fully…

A curtain story has sadly been drawn to an icon of many ages, as famed personality and beloved clown Frank Avruch died. A long time presenter for WCVB-TV, Avurch passed away from heat disease on Tuesday, March 20th at his home in Boston, according to his family. Avurch is best known for playing the titular clown Bozo in the original syndication of Bozo the Clown on television from 1959 to 1970, even touring around the country in his character. A national icon and the most iconic representation of the character, he has “touched so many people with his portrayal” Stuart…
Based off Clive Barker’s original novella The Hellbound Heart, Hellraiser took the horror world by storm in 1987 and was an immediate cult classic among the ranks of Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street and Halloween with its icons of horror. A fascinating entry into the world of terror, Hellraiser focused on the presence of human conflict and the blurred line of beauty and disgusting in its tone, only with the antagonists presented as the Cenobites as the enigmatic icing on the cake. Showing less of the likes of Pinhead was what made the character so interesting and the…
With one of the biggest twists in recent history, the fate of Han Solo in the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens still hurts many fans to this day. (Obvious spoilers if you haven’t seen the film)The emotional investment of journeying along one of the mains of the original trilogy only to see his time end by the hands of his son was not something we were prepared for, both fans and characters alike. It leaves a lot of sympathy for Chewbacca, the most loyal Wookie friend and partner a bounty hunter could ever have. With actor Joonas Suotamo,…
With 70s years of providing the biggest toy central to the US, the days of countless action figure isles, doll counters and singing “I’m a Toys “R” Us kid” will be but a reminiscing memory as stores are closing down for the titan toy distributor Toys “R” Us. CNN has announced its nearly 800 stores in America alone will either have to be shut down or sold to another company, leaving 33,000 jobs at a very disturbing tightrope. David Brandon, the company’s CEO, has notified employees earlier today according to The Wall Street Journal. Money has been a very painful…
Dredd is the movie that just won’t die. Still with a strong cult classic following as ever, fans continue to be in memoriam of the phenomenal 2012 movie based off the famous Lawman of Mega City One. Under-performing at the box office sadly is what lead to its obscurity then, and with the support of fan films, petitions and Blu-ray sales galore, the licence is up for another media adaptation in the form of a TV series entitled Judge Dredd: Mega City One. While we still have nothing updated if the film Dredd’s universe will be continued off that, there…
With the mustache fiasco still taunted at with Justice League/Mission: Impossible – Fallout seems to be really getting a lot more attention over this element than anything the film has been giving us. While it did affect us comic book fans with a gratuitous amount of wonky CGI to smother the removal of Henry Cavill’s mustache in the reshoots, we can’t help but ask: would it have really been that bad to keep it? A lot was spent on there and with the catastrophic bombing at the box office, something could have still been saved with how many numbers were…
Marvel Studios have always been about punctual and consistent releases with comic book films through the year, releasing 3 films from the MCU this year alone. With Avengers: Infinity War coming a week early on April 27th now, things are shifting to gear in preparation of the new phases and it looks like news is coming in the form of dates. THR reports that between 2021-2022, we have a handful of untitled projects working into production for release. Whether they are sequels, spin-off titles or introducing one of the many heroes that will debut from the comics to the silver…

Quentin Tarantino’s latest film project, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, has earned its second lead with Leonardo DiCaprio. The Hollywood Reporter has released an update that Brad Pitt will be joining the movie. Pitt has already had his share of experience with Tarantino, as he starred in 2009’s Inglorious Basterds, which exploded the box office with $321 million at the time with eight Academy Award nominations, one won by Christoph Waltz. DiCaprio has also made himself known in astounding performance in Django Unchained (which he was certainly snubbed for that Oscar) that was up for five nominations and two…
