Earlier today, we reported that Spider-Man will no longer be in the MCU after talks between Marvel Studios and Sony broke down. Disney wanted a new deal, and Sony wanted to keep the same deal. As you’d probably expect, Marvel fans weren’t too happy about this, and took out the majority of their frustrations out against Sony, which has now prompted the company to release a statement following the initial report. The statement was obtained by io9, who writes: When contacted by io9, a Sony representative said it’s their belief this dispute is simply over a producer credit and negotiations…

Sad news to report today for Spider-Man and Marvel fans – Spider-Man is leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This was a bit unexpected, as the film was set to become Sony’s highest grossing movie EVER – but should be expected given Sony’s decisions in the past. The deal had let the character appear in Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home – but is apparently no more. The report from Deadline reads: Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige won’t produce any further Spider-Man films because of an inability by Disney and Sony Pictures to reach new…

It’s been reported that Disney is unsure what to do with Deadpool following the company’s acquisition of FOX, with PG-13 outings as well as R-Rated movies being rumored. The latest rumor, however, suggests that we could see the character make his MCU debut in the upcoming Black Widow solo movie – which would definitely be a pretty surprising place to see the character first show up. Back in June I teased this on Twitter. Todya my sources have said Deadpool will be in end credits scene for Black Widow and Deadpool will appear in upcoming Avengers. Ryan Reynolds reportedly signed…

Many fans will often debate who the smartest character in the MCU is – and it’s a debate that can go on for quite some time, as any fan debate often will. At this point, it’s impossible to imagine anyone playing Iron Man other than Robert Downey Jr. The actor closed out his run of playing the character for 11 years in Avengers: Endgame, in a role that began in 2008’s Iron Man movie. Sometimes, when an actor auditions for a part, the studio has quite a few other actors in mind, but in the case of this one, it was pretty much set in director Jon Favreau’s mind. A new featurette from Avengers: Endgame home release has revealed RDJ’s screen test for the character, and you get to see just how…

The first trailer for Jay and Silent Bob Reboot is here – and it’s a red band and definitely not safe for work trailer. Thor 4 has long been rumored, and as of today, it’s a rumor no more. Though it was uncertain for a while, it looks like the movie is happening – with Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi returning to helm the MCU project. The character was reinvented in that movie, and the very positive reception to the new direction Chris Hemsworth took the character was very well received. That wasn’t exactly a secret, though, as Hemsworth reportedly signed on for more movies with Marvel back in June. The news comes from THR, who writes: Taika Waititi is returning to the many…
