Spider-Man screenwriters John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein were at the premiere of Vacation, a film which they wrote and directed and took some time to talk about the upcoming Spider-Man reboot: “The main difference I think is the tone will be really grounded, about a real kid who gets these powers and what that means to a geeky, outcast kid and how he deals with them,” Goldenstein said. “You don’t instantly become a superhero, it’s a long journey.” Daley added, “It’s spending a lot more time in the high school. When the first pictures of Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse were released to the internet, a lot of fans were highly critical, saying that the character looked more like the villain from the Power Rangers movie in the 90’s – Ivan Ooze. Well, in an interview with Empire, Bryan Singer has come to the defense of the costume, saying it’s true to the comics: “He’ll be very similar to images in the comic,” Singer says. “There’s obviously something very futuristic and yet ancient to the design of both his costume and his physicality.” Maybe there’s something we’re missing here but…

I loved Guardians of the Galaxy…our films are a bit more serious. They deal with things that are a little darker. Things that place them in our world.” Director Zack Snyder…

There have been reports that Marvel is having difficult with how to launch Iron Fist as well. Here’s what Variety writer Laura Prudom recently revealed from The TCA: So, this could mean a lot…
The Punisher will make his MCU debut next year on Season 2 of Marvel’s Daredevil and although Steven DeKnight won’t be running the show due to other commitments – he did talk about the character with Slash Film at the Television Critics Association Summer press tour: “The thing about The Punisher, and I think there are great things about each of those versions, but none of them was completely the Marvel version. And none of those movies were under the Marvel Studios banner until they recently got The Punisher back. So this is really the first time that we’re seeing…
