Just when it seemed like things couldn’t get any worse for Fox’s Fantastic Four reboot – they have. Fans have started a petition demanding that Fox return the Fantastic Four film rights back to Marvel Studios. Instead of giving Fox a chance to redeem itself with ‘Fantastic Four 2’, the petition says that the franchise should just quit while it’s behind. While it seems unlikely that Fox will sell the rights back to Marvel, it’s certainly not impossible, given all the fan outrage and hatred of the reboot. Those dismal box office numbers and horrible reviews don’t help matters either.…

During a reddit chat, Ronda Rousey was asked what Marvel character she’d like to play. Apparently, it’s Miss Marvel: “A lot of the good ones have been taken, but I’d like to vie for Miss Marvel!” It’s obvious she most likely meant Captain Marvel, which is a film slated for a 2018 release. It’s been talked about for a while now, but in last night’s episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers, actress Winona Ryder seemingly confirmed that a long awaited sequel to Beetlejuice is happing: “I think I can confirm it,” Ryder answered. Even though the past weekend couldn’t have gone any worse for 20th Century Fox’s Fantastic Four reboot, the studio still plans to move forward with a sequel – currently scheduled for June 9, 2017. “Everything I’ve heard would indicate that the studio will move forward with a Fantastic Four sequel,” HitFix reports. “It may not make that original 2017 date, but they’re definitely planning to make it.” It’s a bit surprising, considering the studio is expected to lose $60 million dollars on the film but Fox probably doesn’t want to let the rights revert back to Marvel for…

A box office analyst is projecting a $60 million dollar loss from Fantastic Four for FOX  – according to Variety. Per the report: “Fantastic Four” is struggling to find its footing at the box office this weekend, suggesting that not even superheroes are immune to poor reviews. Early estimates show the 20th Century Fox release struggling to hit $30 million for the weekend, which is well below the anticipated mid-$40 million mark. Earlier we reported that FOX is considering moving a Deadpool sequel into the release date that currently has a Fantastic Four sequel in it. Now, there’s even more news regarding a Deadpool sequel – and who the studio wants to appear in it. Keep in mind these are rumors but we’ve heard something like this before: “They’re already kicking around ideas for the sequel. As always take this stuff with a grain of salt but it definitely makes sense. The Daily Superhero is reporting that 20th Century Fox has been having internal discussions regarding the possibility of cancelling the Fantastic Four sequel and putting a Deadpool sequel in it’s June 9, 2017 release date. Of course, this is an unconfirmed rumor but with the way that Fantastic Four has bombed this weekend and how positive the buzz has been for Deadpool, it definitely makes sense.
