Adult Swim has just announced a new season of Samurai Jack to premiere in 2016. It will air during the Toonami Block and is currently in production in L.A. The show ended in 2004 but has developed a pretty big fan-base that has been very vocal about a return and up until this news broke, all they had received was a comic. Here’s what creator Genndy Tartakovsky had to say in a previous interview with ComicBook.com: “I feel like it’s culminating to a fever pitch almost.” he said. “I feel like it’s time to maybe finish the story. There was a recent story suggesting that there were plans for a Supergirl and Flash crossover in the near future. However, that has now been put to rest by the showrunner of both shows, Greg Berlanti, when he was asked if there was a plan for a crossover: “Only because we just received the pickup,” Berlanti told reporters when asked whether preliminary discussions for such a crossover had happened. “But not at this point.” Personally, I think it makes things more confusing to casual fans to not just have everything connected. Well, despite initial reports that a Fantastic Four sequel was being planned despite the catastrophic box office/critical failure of the first film, FOX has now removed the film from it’s upcoming release schedule. It was originally scheduled for a June 9, 2017 release date before the first one even hit theaters. It’s not really a surprise that they are most likely giving up on the sequel, as it only made $56 million domestically on a budget of $120 million. While removing it from it’s release schedule doesn’t mean it’s cancelled – does anyone actually want a sequel to the film?…

Nickelodeon is planning a TV movie based off of the show and plans to start it right where they left off: The Viacom-owned kids’ outlet is developing a new TV movie based on “Hey Arnold!,” the animated series that ran between 1996 and 2004 and focused on a fourth-grader with an oblong noggin who lived with his grandparents in a boarding house.
