The Batman is easily one of the most talked about and speculated movie on the internet – and hasn’t even started production yet. It’s not hard to see why, as although Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice had mixed reviews, Ben Affleck’s performance as the caped crusader is regarded as one of the (if not the) best so far on the big screen. Well, some new leaked details (take them with a grain of salt) have been revealed, and it sounds pretty cool: The Batman (2019): No work has been commissioned on this movie. Apparently Matt Reeves has yet to…

The first reviews for Wonder Woman have been released – and they’re overwhelmingly positive, meaning the film will easily be the best reviewed DCEU film to date. Here are a few of the bigger ones: Time Out: A rollicking action adventure in the tradition of ‘Indiana Jones’, with a fully functioning sense of humour and the year’s most lip-smackingly evil baddie. The Wrap: It’s a film that not only improves upon many of the seemingly built-in shortcomings of superhero movies, but also mixes smarts, sentiment and adrenaline in the best Hollywood style. USA Today: The film’s action is explosive and engaging,…
In what is sure to be one of the most random stories you’ll read today, a gunman claiming to be The Punisher went to a local Comic Con in Phoenix with a ton of guns and a mission to kill what he deemed ‘bad cops’ and also Jason David Frank. Per the report: The man Phoenix police arrested Thursday for carrying four loaded guns inside the Phoenix Convention Center during Phoenix Comicon has been booked for attempted murder and several more charges. A judge set his bond at $1 million on Friday. Police said 31-year-old Mathew Sterling made threats to…
Sony appears to be getting ready to go all out on its Spider-Man Universe with every character connected to Spider-Man imaginable – without Spider-Man. A new report from Splash Report regarding Silver & Black – the upcoming Silver Sable and Black Cat movie, states that it could feature some very interesting characters in the movie: “Here are some details about the story: Seven years after Mendel Stromm (a.k.a. Robot Master) and his two henchmen (The Scorpion and The Tarantula) killed her father, Silver Sable is hired by the government to find Felicia Hardy. The Black Cat, a master hacker and…
Not much is known about the upcoming Aquaman movie, and we’ve only been treated to a few different pictures and teases from the production. According to a recent alleged leak, Warner Bros. have big plans for the film, and it sounds like it’ll be a lot different than conventional superhero films. Per the leak: Aquaman (2018): James Wan was the first choice for director on this movie. Warner Brother’s wants the movie to be like an underwater “horror” movie with a superhero at the helm. This movie has been at the majority of excitement at the office. Apparently James Wan…

Alamo Drafthouse is putting together a special ‘women only (and people who identify as women)’ screening of Wonder Woman, and naturally, it has caused a mixed reaction. Per Alamo Drafthouse: The most iconic superheroine in comic book history finally has her own movie, and what better way to celebrate than with an all-female screening? Apologies, gentlemen, but we’re embracing our girl power and saying “No Guys Allowed” for one special night at the Alamo Ritz. And when we say “Women (and People Who Identify As Women) Only,” we mean it. Everyone working at this screening — venue staff, projectionist, and…
I was planning on writing an article about why Zack Snyder deserves more credit before yesterday’s tragedy, but after reading some of the comments on social media, I felt it was more necessary today. I’ve also noticed people saying ‘not a fan of Zack Snyder’s films but -‘ before they say ‘their heart goes out’ to the director. Insulting someone’s work before you say you deeply care about what they’re going through makes absolutely no sense. Sure, you may think Snyder’s criticism is well deserved, and that’s one thing, but some of the comments are pretty pathetic: It’s not meant to promote…
When Logan was first announced, there were people skeptical that the film would be PG-13 and that the violence would be about in line with the previous X-Men films, that, while Hugh Jackman did a terrific job, didn’t really unleash the Wolverine that people were accustomed to in the comics. That doubt quickly faded when fans sat down to watch Logan, as the opening scene was brutal and violent enough to give the film an R-Rating within seconds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPIPeORF-To The interesting part about this, is that the filmmakers almost went with something entirely different for the opening scene, as noted…
The internet has been pretty positive about Tom Hardy being cast as Venom in Sony’s upcoming solo film. Though, many still have their doubts about a Venom film without Spider-Man, seeing as how he’s a crucial character to Venom, but then again it is Sony we’re talking about here. Even if the Venom movie completely sucks, it’ll still be better than Spider-Man 3 – which featured Topher Grace as Eddie Brock. Yeah. Again, it’s Sony we’re talking about here. As he always does, BossLogic offered some fan art depicting Hardy as the character – and it looks pretty cool. Check…
