Disney Plus is getting ready to ramp back up production on it’s myriad of original shows for Marvel Studios and the Star Wars Universe. The Marvel Cinematic Universe shows are highly anticipated, with series like WandaVision, Falcon & The Winter Soldier and Loki set to rock the rest of Phase 4. But there is one series that is sort of flying under the radar a bit; Hawkeye. There isn’t much known about this series except for mostly speculation and the little morsels Marvel Studios have teased us with. The latest news, however, could help cement where the series is going…

Keanu Reeves is a global treasure, and a rarity in the film industry. He has had more than one career resurgence and has the unprecedented pleasure of redefining the action movie genre not once, but twice. He starred in The Matrix franchise, which completely altered how action films were seen. Then, he did it again with the incredibly successful John Wick series. And, let’s not forget that we’re finally getting that third Bill & Ted movie very soon! Now, on top of revisiting the 80’s classic comedy franchise, Reeves is also returning to the mind bending action series, The Matrix,…
It’s hard to really put into words the kind of world we’re living in right now. COVID-19 has the planet in quarantine, but the streets are flooded with protesters actively seeking reform and change to the systemic racism in America. And, with the internet bringing every little bit of information to everyone’s fingertips, and social media becoming the most prevalent form of mass communication, ‘Cancel Culture’ has become the norm. We see people digging up old tweets and posts from a bygone era and weaponizing them to get people fired and ruin their lives. And, this is a slippery slope.…
Roger Wardell has been one of, if not the only, bright spot in the rumor bin filled with miscreants and liars. He had several Marvel Cinematic Universe rumors with most of them turning out to be true. Now, he’s back on Twitter with some new rumors. This latest one is a heck of a tale, though. Roger states that Wolverine will have one hell of a time in the MCU. So much so that Shuri makes him an Anti-Metal nanosuit out of Antarctic Vibranium. For the uninitiated, Antarctic Vibranium has properties that are nearly the exact opposite from the Vibranium…
Back before the Marvel Cinematic Universe really became the juggernaut that it is today, harvesting multiple billion dollar blockbusters including the highest grossing movie of all time, there were many people in Hollywood who thought that the first Avengers film was too ambitious to work. But, Marvel Studios knew what they were doing and created a hit ensemble film. And, in correlation with that film, a video game was put into the works. However, the studio behind the game, THQ Studio Australia, closed down and the game was never finished. Now, nearly a decade later, some early gameplay footage of…
The COVID-19 Pandemic has put the world on hold. Quarantines and self distancing have all but shut down the economy, especially in the entertainment industry. The film industry is all but at a stand still, with cinemas being closed indefinitely, causing movie releases postponed until further notice. Productions of new films is also halted. One way studios have combatted the issue is by releasing finished films on Video On Demand, giving people the option to buy new movies to watch at home, creating a cinematic experience in their houses. Now, what does this mean for theaters in the future? One…
For horror fans, the renaissance of horror came in the 80’s with films like Friday the 13th, Halloween, Evil Dead and Nightmare on Elm Street. Then, in the 90’s, one film flipped the genre on its head by holding a mirror to itself with Wes Craven’s Scream. A horror film based around using the rules and troupes of all the classic movies as the basis of a serial killer(s) terrorizing a small town. This started a franchise leading to four films. Now, it looks like we’re getting a fifth. And, it will be filming this fall. Thanks to WECT in…
Ever since the COVID-19 Pandemic hit, comic books have stopped their distribution. And, while they are starting to head back to comic book stores here shortly, many of us have taken to our collections and are re-reading some older works. One of the most interesting is revisiting the now defunct Ultimates Universe from Marvel. For those unaware the Ultimates Universe offered up a modern, darker, and more adult take on Marvel’s classic characters. Some characters more drastic changes than others, namely the X-Men characters. And, looking back, it may just be that Marvel’s most popular mutant, Wolverine, may very well…
Sony Pictures is seeing massive success with their Spider-Man franchises in the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters. While that title needs a bit of work, the Spidey films have been great, Venom sets box office records, and its sequel and the upcoming Morbius are a few of the most highly anticipated films coming out once the movie theaters open back up. There are also other films in the works, like Kraven the Hunter and Black Cat, etc. Now, it looks like Sony is working on a ‘secret project’ for the SPUMC (again, needs work), and have even signed a…
With very few exceptions, villains in comic book movies tend not to survive. They typically die in some way at the end of the film, whether it be by the hero’s hand or their own. However, in the new iteration of Spider-Man with the collaboration between Sony and Marvel Studios, it seemed at first that they would move away from this troupe. In Homecoming, Spidey actually saves the villain’s life, and Vulture is alive to appear again. But, in Far From Home, it seemed that Sony fell back on this old device, and killed off the villain, Mysterio. Or did…
