There is a petition on Change.org for Disney to rehire Director James Gunn, and it has over 300,000 signatures so far. Gunn was fired by Disney after a slew of decade’s old tweets where he made some tasteless jokes were brought back into the spotlight. Gunn had already apologized for these tweets a couple years ago, but the immediate uproar brought on by someone (who I will not name, because I will not help them become famous) who dug them up again prompted Disney to distance themselves from Gunn. Now, fans worldwide, along with many of the Guardians of the…

Marvel Comics is making some major changes to the Spider-Verse, and it involves Spider-Man as well as one of Spidey’s most infamous foes/allies in Venom. One is set to solidify its true origins while the other is about to have a conflict of personalities. We should warn you, however, that this article contains spoilers for Venom #4 and Amazing Spider-Man #2. First off, let’s talk about Venom. Marvel has brought Eddie Brock and the symbiote back together in recent months, and given the character new life (partially due to his cinematic version hitting theaters in just a few months). Now, the…

Marvel Studios’ Phase 4 is set to come to fruition immediately after the events of the still untitled Avengers 4. While a lot of the plans have been kept under wraps, Marvel Studios Head Kevin Feige has talked about a few points, like how the future of the MCU will have more than fifty percent female heroes. One of those heroines may very well be Ironheart, if the latest rumors turn out to be true – which could hint at Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man being replaced. According to The Hashtag Show, a script for an Ironheart movie has appeared…

Apparently, it is the age of the remake. Hollywood has abandoned the original for the easy way out: Let’s take an old hit and do a modern version! Like the horrid Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or the abysmal Total Recall or the terrible Clash of the Titans, ninety percent of these films just don’t work. Now, some movies can survive an upgrade and actually do quite well, maybe even better than the original, like Jeff Bridge’s True Grit. There are some classics, however, that Hollywood should never touch. The latest news deals with the Bruce Lee classic, Enter the…

San Diego Comic-Con is the gift that keeps on giving. This time, it was Ryan Reynolds during the Deadpool 2: Super Duper Cut panel. Reynolds has once again pushed his campaign to get Hugh Jackman to reprise is legendary role of the Canadian Mutant who is the best at what he does (and what he does ain’t pretty, bub), aka Wolverine. The panel spoke on an extended version of the post credits scene that was shown where Deadpool uses Cable’s time travel device to “correct some wrongs”, including that debacle of a film, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. In the scene we…

Sony has been pulling out all the stops this year at San Diego Comic-Con, especially when it comes to the Venom movie. After an abysmal response to the first trailer they released, Sony reworked a new trailer which sparked some more positive responses. Now, at SDCC, they have shown new footage of a more brutal Venom biting the heads off of evil doers, as well as battles with his offspring, namely Riot and Scream (and others, albeit fleetingly shown). We learned that Riz Ahmed’s character, Life Foundation Head Carlton Drake, will become Riot himself, most likely meaning that he is…

People have been incredibly decisive over the span of the DCEU and, more specifically, Justice League. After Batman v Superman was panned by both fans and critics alike, Zack Snyder’s future with Warner Bros. and the DCEU was on thin ice. Justice League was kind of the last straw after principal photography, and Synder was replaced by Avengers director, Joss Whedon. (it was originally said that Snyder left due to family tragedy, but insiders let slip he was let go by Warner Bros.) Unfortunately, with Whedon doing some rewrites and some major reshoots, what fans got was a mish-mash, Frankenstein-esque…

Warner Bros. is having one of the biggest weekends at SDCC. With the release of the trailer for the sequel to Godzilla and more tidbits into the Wizarding World with more from Fantastic Beasts 2, the WB is moving full force through the summer. But, the biggest news has come in the world of superheroes. They dazzled crowds with some of the first footage from Shazam!, some raw footage from Wonder Woman 1984, the Titans trailer for the DC Universe streaming service, and the highly anticipated Aquaman trailer. Now, thanks to a banner showing at San Diego Comic Con, some…

Venom movie news continues to come out of SDCC, which makes sense as it is the next big superhero flick to hit the theaters. We are less than 3 months away from its release and anticipation for the film is reaching a fever pitch. The Sony Panel had interviews, showed new footage and another trailer, and answered many questions while leaving many others. One definitive answer we got, after seeing the footage (and from the film’s director himself), is that Venom will not have his signature white spider emblem on his chest. The director, Ruben Fleischer, confirmed as much, saying:…

Many fans have wondered whether or not Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will appear in the Venom movie. It hasn’t helped that there have been conflicting statements from man heads of both Sony and Marvel Studios. The main concern is that lots of people just don’t see how the Venom character works without the Web Head involved in the story. Well, after the Sony Panel at SDCC and an interview with IGN, Director Ruben Fleischer answers that question. “There is more than enough Venom to go around. Venom is a really huge character, and Hardy is an amazing actor, so there is…
