Hot off the heels of the Riri Williams as Iron Man reveal Marvel threw another surprise curve ball at us and announced a second new Brian Michael Bendis helmed, with art by Alex Maleev, Iron book, Infamous Iron Man, starring the one and only Victor Von Doom! Simon Kinberg recently sat down with the folks from The Hashtag Show at the Saturn Awards to give a sort of “State of the Franchise” update on Fox’s X-Men cinematic universe. Kinberg provides updates on Wolverine, New Mutants, Deadpool 2, and Gambit. Wolverine is currently shooting, and early in 2017 they’ll start production on the anticipated sequel to the surprise hit of the year, Deadpool. Marvel has given us our first look at the eponymous armor that the 15 year old wunderkind Riri Williams will be donning this fall when she takes over the mantel of Iron Man this fall starting with Invincible Iron Man #1 this fall. The new suit, designed by artist Stefano Casseli, seems to show a more proficient and lustrous armor configuration. There’s no doubt as to the identity of this armor, she will definitely be the new Iron Man. There’s a noticeable lack of any gender identifiers that seems to be by design.
