Nerd Christmas, or Comic Con as it’s known, is finally here and whilst the big presents won’t be unwrapped until the weekend, we’re still be treated to plenty of stocking fillers today. Today’s gift comes in the form of a sneak peak at Andy Muschietti’s upcoming remake of Stephen King classic, IT, and whilst the footage hasn’t actually hit the web, a couple of descriptions of the footage (and a new poster) have. The panel took place earlier today at a packed theater in the Gaslamp District. Director Muschietti was on hand to present two scenes from the film along…

As it stands, it’s currently unknown whether Sony’s planned film series centered around Spider-Man franchise will have any connection to Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. Many fans were relieved when it was revealed that we weren’t going to be seeing poor Uncle Ben gunned down on our screens for the third time in fifteen years. Tomorrow night, myself and a few friends plan to meet up at a house, have a few beers, eat some pizza and play some Tekken 7. What we won’t be doing is engaging in sexual activities dressed as Batman characters….at least I hope we’re not. But that’s exactly what happened at a nightclub in Australia this past weekend, although unfortunately what started as a bit of adult fun, left two people in the hospital with gunshot wounds courtesy of the Gotham Melbourne Police Department. The incident occurred late Saturday night at the Melbourne nightclub, Inflation. The club was holding its…

We’ve done some digging to find out just what could have been. Background Despite Spider-Man 3 generally being considered a disappointment, both Sony and Raimi were intending to release Spider-Man 4 in 2011 based on it’s incredible commercial success. At the end of it’s run, the film had made $890 million, something which was a…

Nostradamus, George Orwell…..The Simpsons. These are seemingly the greatest seers of the future known to man. Much like the classic sitcoms prediction of a Trump Presidency, it now looks as though as they predicted the news that Joss Whedon was taking the reins of Justice League. Are the writers of the show actually soothsayers? Of course they’re fucking not, but seeing as you already clicked the link, let’s Bait that muthafuckin’ click! The prediction occurred in the episode ‘Married to the Blob’, which aired back in January 2014, over three years before the announcement was actually made. The episode saw…

Let’s be honest, X-Men: Apocalypse was a a bit disappointing. It tried to add everything, but ultimately ended up accomplishing nothing. Perhaps the most bizarre aspect of the film was the fact that it ended with longtime villain, Magneto, seemingly turning over a new leaf as a hero after helping to defeat Apocalypse. However, if a recent rumor for X-Men: Dark Phoenix is anything to go by, he won’t be on the side of the heroes for much longer. Nerdist has reported that the upcoming X-Men: Dark Phoenix will see the Michael Fassbender’s Magneto return to his more villainous roots.…
