From the moment that Doomsday pushed that spike into the chest of Superman at the climax of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, fans had been anticipating an adaption of Superman’s black suit that accompanied his eventual return from death. Thoroughout the entire production of Justice League, fans assumed that the Man of Steel would don the dark attire when he made his eventual return to the land of the living, with the suit even appearing in some of the film’s merchandise. Unfortunately when the film finally hit theaters, this scene wasn’t present, but now, thanks to a recently released…

Next week, the King of Wakanda will be making his long awaited solo debut in Black Panther. But recent interviews with the film’s director, Ryan Coogler, have revealed that two other characters nearly made their live action debut in the film. Whilst on the press junket for the upcoming film, Coogler revealed that he initially planned for longtime Spider-Man foe, Kraven the Hunter to make an appearance. Unfortunately his plans were rejected, most likely due to other plans in line for the character, either through the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel or one of Sony Pictures future plans. He told the interviewer:…
If there is on DC character who really should have been on the big screen by now, it’s Lobo. Over the past few years, a big screen adaption of the intergalactic bounty hunter has been talked about repeatedly with both Guy Ritchie and Ant-Man’s Peyton Reed coming close to taking their place in the director’s chair. But now a recent report has pegged another potential director for the role, one who might just be the right fit for the character. Read on to find out who it is. The Wrap is reporting that Transformers director, Michael Bay is being sought…
Fans were left confused last year when it was announced that Martin Scorsese was set to produce a standalone origin film based on the origin of iconic DC comics villain, The Joker, with Todd Phillips of The Hangover fame set to direct. Whilst many assumed that this was simply a project that would never come to fruition, it sounds as though it may be closer to becoming a reality with the Phillips already having his clown prince of crime in mind. Read on to find out more. Variety has reported that Phillips has met with Joaquin Phoenix recently to discuss…
As part of Sunday’s Super Bowl festivities, fans were treated to another trailer for Avengers: Infinity War and whilst it didn’t showcase as much footage as the first trailer back in November, it certainly contained a few secrets as evidenced by a collection of screen-grabs which have been doing the rounds. The screen-grabs allow us to check out scenes from the film in all of their glory. They include a closeup look of the main man, Thanos, who I must say looks a hell of a lot like Josh Brolin there. Well done, motion capture team! when you roast someone…
Given how each of their previous solo films ended, we know that both Captain America and Thor are both in need of some new hardware if they’re going to successfully take on Josh Brolin’s Thanos in this year’s Avengers: Infinity War. Thankfully, due to the release of some of the associated toy ranges, we now know just what they will be using. In the spectacular first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War (not that fake one those damn Canadians tricked us with!) T’Challa issues an extremely memeable order to get ‘This man a shield’. It was a line that managed to…
Alright folks, time to strap on those tin-foil hats because it’s time to talk about everyone’s favourite conspiracy. No! Not the race of lizard people who are actually controlling the world’s government. The other one. The conspiracy that Disney are secretly paying critics to make sure that Rotten Tomatoes always gives them “fresh” ratings – whilst simultaneously giving the DCEU “rotten” ones. Yeah, that one. Apparently one group believes in this enough to go to great lengths to make sure the upcoming Black Panther doesn’t get the same treatment. Based on the early reactions from Monday night’s Black Panther premiere,…
Let’s be honest, very few people actually liked Jared Leto’s Joker when he debuted in Suicide Squad back in 2016. That’s not to say he’s a bad actor, it’s just that his Joker was poorly characterized in so many ways. The tattoos, the dress sense, that weird snarl he did in the casino scene – so it should come as no surprise to you that Stranger Things actor, David Harbour, may also have disliked the DCEU incarnation of the classic villain. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor who is set to appear as Hellboy in next year’s reboot, was…
You wait all this time for one Paul Rudd trailer then two come along at once! Hot off the heels of this morning’s Ant-Man and the Wasp trailer comes the trailer for the second part of Duncan Jones’ Moon trilogy, Mute, and I have to say it sure looks like it’s going to visually beautiful. Read on to check it out. The plot of the film concerns a Mute bartender played by Alexander Skarsgård who is searching for his missing girlfriend in city of immigrants with only two American surgeons, portrayed by the aforementioned Paul Rudd and Justin Theroux for…
Well, that was quick! After being announced just last night at the Black Panther premiere, the first trailer for the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp has hit the net and it honestly looks just as fun as it’s predecessor. After an troubled production, which included the loss of its original director – Edgar Wright, Ant-Man became a surprise hit for Marvel. When the film hit theaters, many felt that like Guardians of the Galaxy, it was a breath of fresh air for Marvel after Avengers: Age of Ultron was met with a more lukewarm reception. Thankfully the trailer for the…
