Since 2000, the video game developers Rebellion have held the rights to 2000 AD comics and all of its characters. In this time, they have made several video games featuring the characters including Judge Dredd: Dredd vs. Death in 2003 and Rogue Trooper in 2006. More recently, the studio has announced both a film based on Rogue Trooper character and a live action television series based on the Judge Dredd universe titled Judge Dredd: Mega-City One. Now, thanks to a new $100 million deal, the company has its own studio to make these projects become a reality. According to Variety,…

I have a confession – I found Avatar to be one of the most overrated pieces of cinema of all time and despite owning two copies of it on Blu-ray, have never found myself wanting to watch it again. That’s not to say I don’t respect the film for revolutionizing the way we watch movies at the cinema even if the 3D bubble didn’t seem to last. When it was released in 2009, it swiftly took the crown for the highest grossing film of all time with an impressive $2.7 Billion, something which has yet to be topped. But the…

Much like the SyFy Channels strange obsession with combining Natural Phenomenon and Sharks, current horror trends just can’t seem to move away from Nazi’s and the Undead. Back in my youth, any family road trip was complete with three things – a sharing bag of Maynard’s Wine Gums, a cantankerous old grandparent and a copy of Queen’s Greatest Hits. Journeys used to be broken up by how many times you would get through Don’t Stop Me Now or We are the Champions. Perhaps it’s for those reasons that I came out of Bohemian Rhapsody with a lump in my throat. Whilst it could be seeing said that Bohemian Rhapsody merely shows us anything that we could learn from twenty minutes browsing Wikipedia, the film tells the story…
