It’s been over two years now since Disney finalized their deal to acquire 20th Century Fox and all its properties, and while we have had the odd bit of news regarding the status of Fantastic Four, we have heard even less about what is to come with their mutant characters – most notably, Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool. Of all the Marvel properties that Disney has acquired, Deadpool is only one that will be portrayed by the same actor, possibly in part due to the character’s fourth wall breaking persona.
While it was revealed last year that Bobs Burger’s writers Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin would be on writing duties for the R-Rated three-quel, there has been no further sign of the Merc with a Mouth’s debut into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
However, thanks to a new post on Ryan Reynolds’ Instagram, we now have our first look at what a Deadpool inclusive MCU would look like – complete with a cameo from another fan-favorite character in Korg. This is likely what Reynolds was teasing in another recent post. Check it out below:

The video, which is aptly titled MCU Integration Test, features Deadpool doing a reaction video to the trailer of Reynolds’ upcoming, Free Guy, alongside Thor: Ragnarok’s Korg, played by director and Free Guy costar, Taika Waititi. The two of them review the trailer for the former Fox film in a humorous way – while joking about Deadpool’s lack of appearances – and how every MCU character seemingly has their own show on Disney Plus.
The short will definitely definitely get people excited for the future of the character, and certainly will leave people wanting a Deadpool/Korg buddy comedy. Throw in Miek – and that’s a Disney Plus series right there!
You can check out Reynolds and Waititi together in Free Guy when it’s released in Cinemas on August 13th.
