It’s still unclear just how the upcoming Marvel film Spider-Man: No Way Home will function within the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe. A variety of rumors have suggested that actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield could be showing up in the film as their respective interpretations of Peter Parker aka Spider-Man. While that has yet to be confirmed, we do know Tom Holland will be returning as Peter Parker in the new film. And, as revealed in a new behind the scenes image, it looks like his take on Peter Parker will also be returning to high school.
As you can see below, courtesy of actor Jacob Batalon who will be playing Ned Leeds, a new image shows off Tom Holland as Peter Parker. And, in one such image, he’s covered in a variety of bruises.

This definitely suggests some interesting new interactions for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in the upcoming Spider-Man film. After all, we’ve seen little of the character’s high school life, and the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home could allow for some really surprising changes in that regard. Of course, we also might not receive that much screen time of his high school either. We’ll just have to wait and see how the plot develops. As for now, however, it looks like an interesting addition to Marvel’s current franchise of Spider-Man films set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Although plot details are under wraps for the moment, we should hopefully hear more about the film in the near future. Especially considering its release date is scheduled for December of this year.
As of right now, the confirmed cast for the major upcoming superhero film includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, and Hannibal Buress. More casting announcements for the project are currently expected.
The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster Spider-Man: No Way Home is scheduled to hit theaters on December 17, 2021.
