It’s perhaps a bit of an understatement to say that fans were disappointed with the original finale for the Showtime series Dexter. The conclusion ended with Dexter as a lumberjack, living under a new identity. Now, as a way to rectify the previous finale, Showtime has been hard at work with developing a new revival of Dexter. And, as you can see below, they’ve released a new Dexter teaser trailer.
The footage doesn’t exactly show much. But it is a little more than the last video released, which was a little glimpse at the snowy setting with a monologue by actor Michael C. Hall accompanying the shot. This time, however, Michael C. Hall returns front and center in the new footage. And he certainly looks like he’ll be getting back to his old ways, which should be an exciting tease for fans that have been eager for the character’s anticipated return.
As you can see in the newly released Dexter teaser trailer which was shared via Showtime themselves:
At this rate, we’ll likely continue to see promotional material for the new Dexter revival released. As such, stay tuned to ScreenGeek for updates on the new season as we have them. Hopefully we’ll have a more complete teaser or trailer soon.
In the new Dexter revival…
“Set 10 years after Dexter Morgan went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura, the revival sees the character now living under an assumed name in a world away from Miami.”
The cast stars actor Michael C. Hall who will once again play the titular Dexter. Also confirmed for the new season is Jamie Chung, Clancy Brown, Julia Jones, Alano Miller, Johnny Sequoyah, and Jack Alcott.
Clyde Phillips will once again act as showrunner for the revival. While the exact release date for the new season is unknown, it’s currently expected to debut sometime in the fall of 2021.
