Fans have eagerly been trying to convince Warner Bros to continue the SnyderVerse continuity of DC superhero films. It seemed like the movement had strong chances to succeed, especially considering they convinced Warner Bros to allow Zack Snyder to finish his version of Justice League. Unfortunately, for those fans hoping the SnyderVerse would continue, it appears that the continuity is now dead to Warner Bros.
As revealed by YouTuber Grace Randolph, via Small-Screen, things aren’t looking good for the SnyderVerse. In fact, it appears that the SnyderVerse is currently dead. Indeed, Grace Randolph is insisting that Warner Bros executives no longer have any interest in expanding the SnyderVerse and they have no plans for future movies. Here’s what Grace Randolph specifically stated:
“There’s a lot of drama behind-the-scenes of the Snyder Cut as you know, and so the very higher-ups, I’m talking like upper echelon of the people in charge of Warner Bros., they are just not going to greenlight any more of that stuff. They are just not going to do it. I think it became personal for them.”
It isn’t exactly surprising. After all, many SnyderVerse fans decided to act very toxically in an effort to get Warner Bros’ attention. It seemed to upset many Warner Bros executives, and even individuals on the HBO Max side of things. As a result, it looks like they will no longer allow the SnyderVerse to continue. Of course, Zack Snyder himself has previously stated in the past that he’d simply like to move on from the DCEU.
On the bright side, it doesn’t mean that Warner Bros aren’t going to be continuing their very successful slate of DC movies – for example, we still have Black Adam, Aquaman 2, and Wonder Woman 3 on the way to name a few. It just doesn’t seem like Zack Snyder’s intended Justice League sequels will ever be made.
