No doubt one of Netflix’s most popular genres of entertainment is the documentary, and fewer things make for a good documentary than the interesting story of a demented serial killer. While there have recently been quite a few hit documentaries on serial killers such as Ted Bundy, it seems like Netflix is now going to be targeting Richard Ramirez – the story of which will be the main focus for the upcoming documentary series Night Stalker: The Hunt For a Serial Killer.
With the release date for the documentary series set for next month, Netflix has already put out a new trailer for Night Stalker: The Hunt For a Serial Killer which you can see below:
As illustrated in the trailer, the new four-part documentary series will tell the story of Los Angeles serial killer Richard Ramirez. As he began a long series of murders in 1985 which were incredibly difficult to tie together, detective Gil Carrillo from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and homicide investigator Frank Salerno had to work together to stop Ramirez. It’s no doubt a fascinatingly eerie story, and one which should make for a fascinating documentary series.
Night Stalker: The Hunt For a Serial Killer will be utilizing a combination of first-person interviews, pieces of archival footage, and even original photography to piece together its haunting narrative. With the success of Netflix’s other serial killer documentaries and the like, this should no doubt fit right in.
The series Night Stalker: The Hunt For a Serial Killer is directed by Tiller Russell. He also executive produces the series alongside fellow executive producers Tim Walsh, Eli Holzman, and Aaron Saidman.
Those subscribers that are interested in watching the documentary series will be able to see the Night Stalker: The Hunt For a Serial Killer via Netflix next month on January 13, 2021.
