Marvel has been dealing with the delays involved with COVID-19 just like every other studio. They’ve pushed back all of their release dates and made arrangements to safely restart production on upcoming and halted projects. The solo Black Widow film, which was already completed, now awaits its new release date, a year after its original. Eternals and other Marvel Cinematic Universe films that started production have implemented proper protocols to begin production again- and this includes their Disney Plus shows. WandaVision finished up reshoots and post-production and is ready for home release in the middle of January of 2021. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has also restarted production, but while we’ve gotten some tidbits from the series, it’s still mostly kept under wraps. However, the tie-in merchandise that was done months ago is starting to leak, and we may now have a good look at Falcon’s Captain America costume.
The look comes from some officially licensed Disney merchandise that was spotted online, including some socks from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. While Bucky’s socks look like they are from Captain America: The Winter Soldier, showcasing his original metal arm, Falcon’s is definitely a new look. His suit is mostly white, with blue and red trim.
While there is no real defining mark, like say a star on his chest, it is absolutely a new look. It also isn’t the suit we saw on Anthony Mackie’s Instagram. Those pictures seem to be earlier in the series. I would suspect that Falcon won’t become the new Captain America until the end of the show.
It’s also worth pointing out that a toy leak back in July also appeared to reveal a similar (but more modern) look:

With this being official merchandise, it could mean that more is on the way very soon. Fingers crossed we get some more as well as an official release date for the series. 2021 looks to be jammed packed with MCU goodness, turning the tides on one of the worst years in modern history.
