The yet-to-be-officially-titled Spider-Man 3 is really shaping up to be one hell of a film. As more and more details come out, and rumors come forward, its looking more and more like we might very well be getting a live action Spider-Man: Into The SpiderVerse movie. We’ve already seen the return of J.K. Simmons as the iconic J. Jonah Jameson in the mid credits scene of Far From Home. Jamie Foxx has confirmed that he will be returning as Electro, albeit a different version than much maligned take from The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield have both been rumored to return as their versions of the Wall Crawler as well. Doctor Strange has been confirmed to be making an appearance, possibly as the new mentor role for Peter, in this film. Now, Vincent D’Onofrio has thrown his hat into contention, wanting to bring his incredible version of Kingpin from Daredevil to the franchise.
With all of the multiverse coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the already confirmed additions to this movie, Fandom decided to pose the question: “What’s the one character you added to Spider-Man 3?”. Well, among all of the fan response, there was a particularly interesting one. Vincent D’Onofrio quoted the tweet and simply said: “When I was a boy…”. This, of course, being the famous line that began all of Wilson Fisk’s stories in the acclaimed Netflix Marvel series, Daredevil.
Along with with the love for Charlie Cox’s take on Matt Murdock, D’Onofrio’s performance as the villainous Kingpin is considered a work of art, arguably the best part of the series. To see him return, and against Spidey, would be beyond amazing – and the fact the actor has such desire to return to the character speaks volumes.

For now, this is just D’Onofrio throwing his hat in the ring – but with Marvel getting back the rights to the Netflix Defenders characters this month, it is more than possible to bring Kingpin into this fiasco of a multiverse that Peter Parker finds himself in. I know this is something that fans would definitely get behind. So, Sony, Marvel, make it happen!
