No sooner than Anthony Mackie let slip that certain individual with anger issues would be appearing in Captain America: Civil War, than the actor has changed his story.
While on Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Hurt Locker actor cleared up the recent comments he made regarding Mark Ruffalo appearing in the upcoming threequel. He told the host:
“I was giving respect to my fellow actors. I said Marvel movies are so great because they have great actors. Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr.(Applause) love that guy. People take that to mean that this is what the movie is about, and this is in the movie.”
Now it could just be the actor trying to throw us off the trail, but at the same time it could be that he actually was just a simple mistake, he was in Age of Ultron with Ruffalo after all. We’ll find out whether Mackie was telling the truth when the film hits our screens May 6th.
What do you think? Do you think he is simply backtracking? Do you want to see the Hulk appear? Let us know below!
