In a year that has already been one of the worse in recent history, 2020 will strike another blow to fans as the highly popular and beloved CW series, Supernatural, is coming to an end after 15 seasons. And, as the die hard fans dealt with this realization and prepared themselves for the finale, COVID-19 struck and brought the entertainment industry to a grinding halt. So, instead of getting the final episodes back in May as was planned, people have had to sit and wait an extra 5 months for the final seven episodes! Now, as Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and the rest of the cast returns to Vancouver to film the final two episodes, The CW has released a trailer promoting the end. And it will hit you in the feels.

The trailer showcases the emotional toll of what is to come. And, the endgame that has been laid out since the beginning of the season is that the Winchesters have to kill God. Quite an undertaking, obviously, and it will have the most massive of repercussions in doing so, What ripple effect this will cause is as of now unknown, but it will be a finale to witness, for sure. However, one thing is certain; fans will undoubtedly need a whole lot of Kleenex during the final episodes.
It’s going to be interesting, to say the least, to see how such a long running show with such deep themes is able to wrap everything up neatly enough for fans to be happy. Also, it’s been reported that the final two episode scripts were rewritten a bit due to the global pandemic, so addressing such a sensitive current event will be quite the undertaking as well. And, as the series comes to an end, Ackles looks to join the world of superheroes with The Boys and Padalecki will strap on his boots for a reboot of Walker: Texas Ranger. It will be strange for fans to see Sam and Dean Winchester in other roles, but at least these great actors will stay with the fans for a long time to come.
