It isn’t very often that shoe designers tend to whip up shoes inspired by horror icons Jason Voorhees of Friday the 13th and Freddy Krueger of A Nightmare on Elm Street. But shoe designer Warren Lotas has stepped up to the challenge. As you can see, the custom Nike shoes have the red and green color palette commonly associated with Freddy Krueger, while the iconic Nike “swoosh” logo is present with the image of Jason Voorhees’ memorable hockey mask.
It’s an interesting use of two very different stylistic characters to create one single product. Only 2,000 pairs of these shoes will be created, however, so if there are any horror fans interested in picking up a pair – they’ll have to act relatively fast once they go up for sale.
As explained by Warren Lotas:
“I have already ordered these shoes but they will not be in my possession until late September due to international freight shipping times, so given the delays last time, if these shoes do not ship before October 15th, I am giving everyone $100 + the shoes.”
If all goes as planned, buyers should hopefully be getting their shoes sometime in October of this year. That means they could be the perfect addition to any Halloween day outfit, especially when you consider October is also the month that the new Scream Factory Friday the 13th Blu-ray boxset is set to come out.
If you’re interested in picking up a pair, these shoes are scheduled to go up for sale on Lotas’ official website starting Sunday, August 2 at 5 PM EST. The shoes will be selling for $300 per pair.
While we might be seeing a delay for Halloween Kills this October, at least it looks like Friday the 13th fans will be having something of a good time. Now if we could just get some more love for Nightmare on Elm Street (aside from the shoes, anyhow.)
