Hundreds across America continue to be impacted by the Coronavirus, with the number of cases growing as each day passes. This includes a number of celebrities, with Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, and Olga Kurylenko are among the actors who have contracted the virus, while NBA stars Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert tested positive last week (Gobert did so after jokingly touching dozens of microphones during a press conference two days earlier). Now, it seems that MCU star Idris Elba has been diagnosed with the Coronavirus.
Revealing the news via Twitter his current condition, Idris Elba shared a video to fans that urged people to practice social distancing and personal hygiene over the coming weeks:

“This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing. No panic.”
“Beyond that, there are people out there who aren’t showing symptoms and that can easily spread it, OK? So now’s the real time to be really vigilant about washing your hands and keeping your distance, OK?”
It’s never good news when someone is sick, as we feel for all of the high-profile names who have contracted the virus over the past week. At the same time, they have the resources and funds to likely weather this storm and be fine, able to the necessary time off to recoup and recover.
The Coronavirus is a big deal though because it can greatly impact a large block of our populous, including the elderly and infants. We at ScreenGeek advise everyone to take as many safety precautions as possible in the coming weeks, including social distancing, avoiding large crowds, and washing your hands constantly.
