It turns out that while Deadpool is definitely an R-Rated and extreme type of film (especially by something to come out of Marvel), that there were some jokes that were actually deemed too much for the movie.
However, T.J. Miller, (who plays Weasel in the film) gave a few examples to IGN with some of the jokes that were too harsh and cut out of the film:
“You look like a trucker shit on your shoulders and then shaped ears into it.”
“Someone pulled your balls up through your mouth and wrapped them around your head.”
These jokes were apparently left out because they were just too vulgar, although the film still includes many jokes with similar vulgarity and context.
Other jokes were taken out because they were “too ridiculous,” according to Miller.
Although one joke, which to Miller’s surprise was left in the film, wasn’t shocking to him because of its vulgarity but rather because of the dark tone of it:
“You’re gonna die alone, or at least for other people’s sake, I hope you do.”
Either way, there’s a director’s cut coming out later this year so if the theatrical version isn’t explicit enough, we’re still bound to get more vulgar goodness.
Deadpool is set for release on February 12, 2016 and stars Ryan Reynolds as the titular character Deadpool, aka Wade Wilson.
