With Disney Plus finally launched, fans are discovering all sorts of nuggets. But in the coming years, fans can expect even more content. Once certain films are released from Netflix, they will be available on Disney Plus. Those include Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Solo: A Star Wars Story. But also, the streaming service is working hard on its original content. Such will be shows for both the Star Wars and Marvel Universes. Obi-Wan and Rogue One shows will accompany The Mandalorian. And the first Marvel show will be Falcon and the Winter Soldier in 2020. 2021 will see four more limited series. Of those will be the animated What If. We have seen footage from the What If series. But now, a teaser trailer has been released.
Jayden Marvel released a thirty-second video featuring footage from Marvel’s What If on Disney Plus.

The show will include about twenty-three episodes. Each will focus on a movie from the MCU. The series is adapted from the comic of the same name. Where in the comic, each issue asked a question starting with “What if?” Though the cartoon will ask questions from the MCU. And the actors from the movies will all reprise their roles.
The video shows clips from three of the episodes. One looks to be from the Captain America: The First Avenger episode. This will be something like “What if Peggy Carter took the Super Soldier Serum?” The clip shows Agent Carter in a suit similar to Captain America’s, equipped with a shield. Though hers features the flag from her native country. There’s a Captain Britain from the comics. But of course, this is a quite different version. Then, what I’m sure is the Captain America: The Winter Soldier episode, Bucky is fighting a zombie Cap. This clip alone will have fans excited, as it will probably adapt The Walking Dead‘s Robert Kirkman’s Marvel Zombies. And then the last clip is from the Guardians of the Galaxy episode. But T’Challa is Star-Lord instead of Peter Quill.
Each issue of What If was presented by Uatu the Watcher. Jeffrey Wright has been tapped for the voice. He’s known for his role in Westworld. And he will also be playing Commissioner Gordon in Matt Reeves’ The Batman. The Watcher race was introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 as part of Stan Lee’s obligatory cameo.
What If will be available to stream on Disney Plus sometime in 2021.
What do you think of this footage? Does it raise your anticipation for What If? Have you subscribed to Disney Plus already? Hopefully, you didn’t experience any issues.
