One of the more traumatizing moments in the Final Destination franchise, and perhaps the horror genre in general, is the massive traffic accident from the opening of Final Destination 2. The sequence begins once a logging truck loses control over the logs it’s carrying, and it appears now that real life has a way of copying art. One motorist in Cohutta, Georgia, got to experience the accident for real.
Luckily, the motorist survived the ordeal with only minor injuries. It’s quite jaw-dropping when you see how many logs managed to actually crash through the front of the car and pierced through the entire length of the vehicle.
According to the Whitfield County Fire Department, they were able to safely retrieve the motorist from the vehicle. The fire and rescue team posted several images from the scene of the accident and it’s unbelievable how scary it looks.
“Great job guys,” wrote the fire department on Facebook in response to their team.

And if the images for whatever reason put you in the mood to rewatch some Final Destination, it’s worth noting that they’re planning on rebooting the franchise sometime soon. As was previously revealed…
“New Line is gearing up for another trip with Death.
The company is restarting its Final Destination horror franchise, hiring scary movie mavens Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan to pen the script.
Plot details for the sixth installment, which is being billed as a re-imagining of the franchise, were not revealed.”
Let’s just hope that we don’t have any other real life incidents that end up resembling sequences from the anxiety-inducing horror franchise.
