In the next few years, we’ll be seeing not one – but two big screen versions of our favorite wall crawler. The live action version to be played by Tom Holland and the version that will star in Sony’s animated version.
The film came about as part on the deal between Marvel and Sony, whereby the latter could produce an animated adventure for the character in exchange for his appearance in the MCU. It was originally scheduled for a release in the summer of 2018, but today that has been pushed back to December 21st, 2018.
The animated adventure is to be produced by The Lego Movie‘s Phil Lord and Chris Miller, whose next project will be the upcoming Star Wars spin off centered on Han Solo.
