The Civil War comic arc brought about many changes for everybody’s favorite web-slinger, including a snazzy new costume in the form of the Iron-Spider armor and it sounds like we may be seeing it in live action in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War.
Speaking to Super Interssante at the recent Comic Con Experience 2015, co-director Anthony Russo discussed Tom Holland’s Spider-Man costume. When questioned about the Iron-Spider suit he revealed to the site that the film will show a mix of what everyone is waiting for… with a little twist.
It certainly sounds like we may be seeing the costume in some form, and a quote from a previous answer seem to add some credence to that notion. He explained in an earlier answer that he’s not ready yet because so much will be produced with special effects.
It has previously been confirmed that Downey Jr. has seen Holland in his classic costume, so it is likely to be a different costume that requires the effects – and given the extra arms the Iron Spider suit features, it seems the most likely candidate.
