As everyone already knows, Marvel’s hit film Avengers: Endgame features one of the largest film casts in movie history. Because of the massive number of people involved, and the intense secrecy surrounding certain roles, many actors or actresses were confused about their place in the film or if their footage would even be used. One particularly interesting actress was surprised to have found herself in the film at all – Community star Yvette Nicole Brown.
Brown had taken time off in 2017 to shoot her cameo role in Avengers: Endgame. The actress ended up not even sure of which Avengers film she’d auditioned for – only that she would once again be working with directors Anthony and Joe Russo who she had previously worked with on Community.
I heard tell that the @Avengers #EndGame spoiler ban lifts today. Well, I’ve got one thing to say: pic.twitter.com/KML32D8t3I

Her scene takes place during a time travel sequence where Tony Stark and Steve Rogers ride an elevator with her in the 1970’s. Because she thought her scene was shot for Avengers: Infinity War, she was disappointed during that movie’s release, only to find out it was used in Avengers: Endgame instead.
“I just said, ‘Well, it was nice. It’s the thought that counts.’ And I forgot about it.”
I’m sitting there with a group in my seat like ‘This is going to be it. Oh my God, it’s an elevator! It’s me!’ I’m just sitting there, biting the inside of my jaw. I was so freaking excited, I can’t even tell you. So frigging excited! My friends were, too. […] I kept that secret for two years. That NDA was iron-clad. I really needed my left foot, so I never told anybody.”
I didn’t even come to the [Avengers: Endgame] premiere. I didn’t know I was in it! I could’ve come!”
It’s definitely fun knowing that she made it into an Avengers film after all, having dealt with the disappointment of thinking she was cut out entirely. It’s no wonder that fans of Community and Yvette Nicole Brown’s other works were also so excited to catch her on the big screen.
