Among many of the announcements Marvel made at their Hall H panel during Comic-Con for upcoming movies and shows, one of the most interesting series promised happened to be WandaVision. The show is set to once more unite Scarlet Witch and Vision where they’ll be reunited with a certain Captain Marvel character.
The show is described as a “mega event series” that will somehow revive the character Vision after the events of Avengers: Infinity War. While it’s not yet known how Vision will reappear, it does sound like an exciting prospect for a new series. The series will once again feature Marvel Cinematic Universe stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch and Paul Bettany as Vision.

According to Marvel, it’s “unlike anything we’ve done before,” and Olsen added, “It’s gonna get weird.”
The series will apparently tie into the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, so that should explain some of the weirdness. After all, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is supposed to be Marvel’s first horror film.
The series also ties into Captain Marvel by including the character Monica Rambeau who will now be an adult played by Teyonah Parris. Rambeau eventually goes on to become the next Captain Marvel according to the comics, so it’ll be interesting to see if they play up that angle all.
While we don’t know what other Marvel Cinematic Universe cameos will be featured, it’s certainly exciting figuring out how it’ll piece together with the rest of Marvel’s Phase 4.
WandaVision will premiere on the Disney+ streaming service in the Spring of 2021, just before Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits theaters on May 7, 2021.
