There was a recent story suggesting that there were plans for a Supergirl and Flash crossover in the near future. However, that has now been put to rest by the showrunner of both shows, Greg Berlanti, when he was asked if there was a plan for a crossover:
“Only because we just received the pickup,” Berlanti told reporters when asked whether preliminary discussions for such a crossover had happened. “But not at this point.”
Personally, I think it makes things more confusing to casual fans to not just have everything connected. If they’re not going to connect the movie universe and TV universe together – why not at least keep the TV universe connected? Just my thoughts.
